hi babies! d9670322-9104-4971-84d0-a3b5d109bf58

first off, I realized how absolutely lame I am when it comes to titles of my posts, but hey whatever gets you here faster, no need to dramatize it, amirite?

let’s go ahead an speak about the giveaway; it will actually be another chance to win a Smile Brilliant teeth whitening kit! So if you entered last time, this will be another chance for you. the new giveaway link and details will be in an upcoming post, so keep your eyes out here or my social medias! (also if you don’t know what SB is here is a previous post; Smile Brilliant)

38bdf04e-f338-43e2-a9f4-dd542a74518enow to jump into the Lorac!

so I decided to FINALLY swatch the Dream Girl and Free Spirit palettes. I  have literally had these two for so long and I never touched them. It has seriously been so long that I don’t think Free Spirit is even being sold anymore, at least not on Lorac’s site.

Dream Girl

(side note: if anyone is interested let me know in the comments and I will hold a little giveaway for these two palettes if there are enough people down; because I seriously don’t use them and they will have only been swatched.)

so aside from me not ever using

Free Spirit

them, they are actually really pretty palettes. plus they’re Lorac, so the quality and pigment are seriously amazeballs. I think it is because they are smaller, that my larger palettes got more attention and they got lost in the shuffle of it all.

Dream Girl is such a fun little palette and I love all the shimmer shades, especially the blue and copper ones. Definitely a fun night out palette. Free Spirit on the other hand, is a really nice natural/neutral palette for just an everyday type of thing. It has some really nice shades as well. I felt that some of the shades were harder to swatch because I am so pale, so sorry if you can’t see the full pigment D:

What are some of your favourite Lorac palettes? Mine is hands down the Unzipped palette! *insert heart eyes*

Also if you’re interested in doing a giveaway for these two let me know below, if there is more than 5 of you guys, I will definitely do it. Also should there be two winners or one winner gets both? Let me know!

ecotools voxbox

0a6cc76d-e78f-4458-bf01-d1b01cda0ef0Hello my little sprinkles!

First off, I am a flake, I am sorry. Classes and mommy life have been hectic and we have been back and forth out of town!

So today I wanted to share my EcoTools Voxbox with you guys. If you haven’t heard of EcoTools, they have some really amazing make up brushes as well as tons of other products.fc87a847-6309-4ab0-b370-da86edc5a0c2

For starters, EcoTools is a cruelty free brand and uses recycled materials to make them. On top of that their packaging is 100% tree free. They use no trees in their packaging. So great products with a guilt free conscience. Sounds like a winner, right?

cc44eb60-2dd7-4102-a8bc-e0670746d136Disclaimer: This Voxbox was sent to me by Influenster and Ecotools. It is not sponsored nor do I receive any payment, and all views are my own 🙂

So about a year back, I bought a few EcoTools brushes and I always loved them so I was excited to be getting some more! These are some of the softest brushes I have ever had and I love how they feel on my skin. The shadow blending brush and the powder brush are my all time favourites.

I also received the “Perfect Blending Duo”. Until I received these I honestly didn’t even know they sold sponges. These are great for blending. However, I love them because of their wedges and I think they’re perfect for contour and baking. You get such precise and sharp lines.

Another product in this voxbox was cleansing cloths! This is the first time I  have seen cleansing cloths for your brushes. To be completely honest, I am not completely sold on them. They make for a good brush cleaning while traveling but I just do not think it thoroughly cleanses, if you know what I mean. Still a great product to have regardless.

Overall, I really love the products that were sent to me. Some I will definitely use more than others, but that’s how it always goes, amirite?

Honestly, if you want some good quality brushes and you’re all about the environment, these are worth checking out and you won’t regret it.

Has anyone tried EcoTools? Any favourites?

sunday funday + becca

ytw.jpgIt’s Sunday fun day! Except not really, because I have been sick all week long and all weekend, D: More like Sunday take-medicine-every-four-to-six-hours-day. Has a ring to it, I think. Head colds are the worst.

On a different sick note, does anyone else like the feeling of sneezing, or is that just me? Anyway..

First off, congrats to Ashley Bonniville, who was our Smile Brilliant winner! Thank you to everyone else who participated, it was a great turn out!

Today’s post will just be a quick little something, just so I don’t leave you guys hanging. I do have tons of stuff I bought over the holidays that I can’t wait to share with you.

So, I have heard so much hype for the Becca highlighters, so I thought it was time I tried it out. I will admit I was a little iffy because of the price for one single highlighter, but I think it was actually worth the money. Will I buy another single Becca highlighter for the same beccaamount? Probably not. But that doesn’t negate the quality, I just don’t think I need anymore highlighters anytime soon, lol.

I really like the packaging. It is cute but simple and not too crazy. I think that between the packaging and the quality of the product that the price is okay.

I decided to pick up the ‘Pearl’ highlighter. The product itself is really nice. It is super smooth and pigmented. I really like the shine and it can be nice and natural or you can build up without it looking cakey like a lot of highlighters do when built up.

handI will admit, while I really enjoy it a lot, I don’t see the hype. I mean I see the hype, but just not over other highlighters, you know what I mean? It’s nice but it doesn’t seem any better than some of the highlighters I already own. Which sucks, because I feel like I should be praising it with the attention from it, but I don’t have the need. However, I am not bashing it either because there are definitely worse highlighters out there. With that said, if you are willing to spend the money, then I think you should own at least one Becca highlighter.

What did you guys think about the Becca highlighters? Worth the hype or too hyped up?

November Favourites

Hello mah babies!

So today I thought I would let you know what products were my absolute favourites from last month! I also have been thinking about making this a permanent thing, and will try to post monthly about my overall favourites for said month.dscn0073

Now, in November I did quite a bit of shopping BUT there were 3 things that seriously amazed me. I think it says a lot about these items that out of everything only 3 stuck out.

First is the Nip +Fab Viper Venom Micro Blur Fix. I have actually been on a Nip + Fab spree and am really loving some of their things. This actually reminds me of Porefessional from Benefit. But way cheaper. It blurs your pores to make them less noticeable and it makes your skin super smooth. I have been using it as a primer but also have been using it on days without make up. A definite 8/10 on a primer scale.

The Tarte Amazonian Clay foundation is my next thing. I have never fallen in love with a foundation so fast. Before this one I tried the Estee Lauder Double Wear and wasn’t a big dscn0150fan. Which feels weird to say because everyone else loves it but it just wasn’t for me. BUT this stuff has been so great. It is full coverage, but doesn’t feel thick after application. It stays beautiful all day, even without setting spray. I seriously have nothing bad to say about this foundation. I have been through ALOT of foundations and I have never found one that I really felt was perfect for me until now.

Okay let’s talk plumpers. I love plumpers BUT I hate them, you know? Even with my hate for them, I picked up Too Faced’s Lip Injection Extreme and OH MY GOD. This is probably the first plumper that has actually plumped. Most plumpers give me that tingly feeling but my lips never look different. This stuff actually did what it said it would. On top of that, it doesn’t feel all sticky and tacky like a lot of plumpers. Too Faced has definitely changed how I feel about plumpers and I am glad I actually gave it a try.

Was there anything you have recently tried that really just over went your expectations?

Also, before I bow out on this post, we hit our 1,000 marker! This means keep your eyes out for an upcoming post about how to enter the giveaway and also information on the giveaway item!

Talk to you guys soon!  xx

Carli Bybel – yay or nay?

Hello beauties!openface

I hope you all had a good holiday and had fun with your families. Sorry this post was so late. I was out of state for the holiday and didn’t have a chance to update before I left. Now before I jump into this post, I did want to let you all know that we are about 13 followers away from the 1,000 mark! 13! So make sure you tell your friends and share the blog on Twitter/IG/FB. Once we hit that, the giveaway instructions will go up. The giveaway prize is a $120 dollar value, and soon you will know what it is (also there may be upcoming hints on my IG) 😛

eyeshadowNow, for what you came for.

So, this is actually my first BHcosmetics purchase. I have seen/heard mixed reviews so it took me a while to try anything from the brand. So when I was walking around Ulta a few weeks ago, I saw the Carli Bybel palette, and it was getting a lot of hype. I figured for less than $15 it was worth a try. It totally was. I am a highlighter fiend and was looking for new shadows and thought it was a perfect combo.

Seriously, this is the best palette you can get for under $20. Everything is so smooth and buttery, kind of like the ABH palettes. They are also a lot more pigmented than you would think they would be for the price. Also ignore my swatching, I tried doing a straight line and it just did not work out for me, lol. img_1463

The highlighters vary in shades, which is great because there is a highlight for a lot of skin tones, however, because of that and because I am so pale, I can only really use two. BUT I’m not gonna complain too much because it is still such a great palette.

Both the highlighters and eyeshadows blend very well and stay well through out the day. Definitely a 10/10 for me and I totally recommend it.

Does anyone have any favourite BHcosmetics products they love? What else should I try?

xx
