whoops

I am so glad you all put up with my and my current inconsistencies. I have been preparing for a move and been busy with classes and some other things.

No worries, I am still here lol.

I actually have some swatches coming up soon, already have photos taken and everything!

How has everyone’s spring break gone?

nightly routine

hey babes, happy spring, finally! not sure how much more of this cold weather I can take *insert eye roll here*.img_3847

so, if you’re like me, then your nightly routine probably changes every few months. if it doesn’t then you’re lucky. it seems like after three months of the same routine my face is just like “okay, cool and?” and it becomes unaffected by it.

with that said, I thought I would share my current night routine. first off, make up remover. that is one thing that doesn’t change because I swear by the Neutrogena remover wipes. I really like wipe removers because they feel less oily than the liquid removers. the Neutrogena wipes are my img_3848favourite because other wipes I’ve tried have felt really rough on the eye area and end up making my skin super red. so I will always 10x out of 10 recommend these.

after removing the make up I take a cotton ball and Formula 10.0.06 Totally Clean Pore Cleanser, which is essential an acne/blackhead treatment and removes any oil that the wipes left behind. and I go over my whole face with a Nip+Fab Bee Sting toning pad.

c8640f5f-273f-4058-ae43-4336b590aaabnow this is just my basic every night thing some nights are a bit different because I don’t exfoliate every night because I usually do that in the morning before make up.

after toning, I have been using a 5 minute eye mask from Patchology as well as their FlashMasque. I usually put on the eye mask first, since its the quickest.

before the actual facial mask I go ahead and get my teeth 3d28fcfc-7986-4e27-aaf6-8a984d40c0c2whitening trays together so I can whiten while the mask is on. if you haven’t seen my older posts, I have been using Smile Brilliant (home teeth whitening) for teeth whitening, and I seriously LOVE it. so I put my trays and and plop the mask on and just chill, do some school work, BLOG. lol.

since I will be collabing with Smile Brilliant for another whitening kit giveaway, I will drop a few links for you to check out if your interested in the giveaway; Things to know before whitening & How-to video.img_3849

I usually leave the trays on longer than the masks so after the mask is done I just kind of roam the house taking care of random things before bed. then viola!

lorac alter ego + swatches + a giveaway

hi babies! d9670322-9104-4971-84d0-a3b5d109bf58

first off, I realized how absolutely lame I am when it comes to titles of my posts, but hey whatever gets you here faster, no need to dramatize it, amirite?

let’s go ahead an speak about the giveaway; it will actually be another chance to win a Smile Brilliant teeth whitening kit! So if you entered last time, this will be another chance for you. the new giveaway link and details will be in an upcoming post, so keep your eyes out here or my social medias! (also if you don’t know what SB is here is a previous post; Smile Brilliant)

38bdf04e-f338-43e2-a9f4-dd542a74518enow to jump into the Lorac!

so I decided to FINALLY swatch the Dream Girl and Free Spirit palettes. I  have literally had these two for so long and I never touched them. It has seriously been so long that I don’t think Free Spirit is even being sold anymore, at least not on Lorac’s site.

95b0bced-b065-4d06-85e3-9ab912121d69

Dream Girl

(side note: if anyone is interested let me know in the comments and I will hold a little giveaway for these two palettes if there are enough people down; because I seriously don’t use them and they will have only been swatched.)

so aside from me not ever using

8b993db6-3903-4390-8859-8280892f48b5

Free Spirit

them, they are actually really pretty palettes. plus they’re Lorac, so the quality and pigment are seriously amazeballs. I think it is because they are smaller, that my larger palettes got more attention and they got lost in the shuffle of it all.

Dream Girl is such a fun little palette and I love all the shimmer shades, especially the blue and copper ones. Definitely a fun night out palette. Free Spirit on the other hand, is a really nice natural/neutral palette for just an everyday type of thing. It has some really nice shades as well. I felt that some of the shades were harder to swatch because I am so pale, so sorry if you can’t see the full pigment D:

What are some of your favourite Lorac palettes? Mine is hands down the Unzipped palette! *insert heart eyes*

Also if you’re interested in doing a giveaway for these two let me know below, if there is more than 5 of you guys, I will definitely do it. Also should there be two winners or one winner gets both? Let me know!

ecotools voxbox

0a6cc76d-e78f-4458-bf01-d1b01cda0ef0Hello my little sprinkles!

First off, I am a flake, I am sorry. Classes and mommy life have been hectic and we have been back and forth out of town!

So today I wanted to share my EcoTools Voxbox with you guys. If you haven’t heard of EcoTools, they have some really amazing make up brushes as well as tons of other products.fc87a847-6309-4ab0-b370-da86edc5a0c2

For starters, EcoTools is a cruelty free brand and uses recycled materials to make them. On top of that their packaging is 100% tree free. They use no trees in their packaging. So great products with a guilt free conscience. Sounds like a winner, right?

cc44eb60-2dd7-4102-a8bc-e0670746d136Disclaimer: This Voxbox was sent to me by Influenster and Ecotools. It is not sponsored nor do I receive any payment, and all views are my own 🙂

So about a year back, I bought a few EcoTools brushes and I always loved them so I was excited to be getting some more! These are some of the softest brushes I have ever had and I love how they feel on my skin. The shadow blending brush and the powder brush are my all time favourites.

I also received the “Perfect Blending Duo”. Until I received these I honestly didn’t even know they sold sponges. These are great for blending. However, I love them because of their wedges and I think they’re perfect for contour and baking. You get such precise and sharp lines.

Another product in this voxbox was cleansing cloths! This is the first time I  have seen cleansing cloths for your brushes. To be completely honest, I am not completely sold on them. They make for a good brush cleaning while traveling but I just do not think it thoroughly cleanses, if you know what I mean. Still a great product to have regardless.

Overall, I really love the products that were sent to me. Some I will definitely use more than others, but that’s how it always goes, amirite?

Honestly, if you want some good quality brushes and you’re all about the environment, these are worth checking out and you won’t regret it.

Has anyone tried EcoTools? Any favourites?

sunday funday + becca

ytw.jpgIt’s Sunday fun day! Except not really, because I have been sick all week long and all weekend, D: More like Sunday take-medicine-every-four-to-six-hours-day. Has a ring to it, I think. Head colds are the worst.

On a different sick note, does anyone else like the feeling of sneezing, or is that just me? Anyway..

First off, congrats to Ashley Bonniville, who was our Smile Brilliant winner! Thank you to everyone else who participated, it was a great turn out!

Today’s post will just be a quick little something, just so I don’t leave you guys hanging. I do have tons of stuff I bought over the holidays that I can’t wait to share with you.

So, I have heard so much hype for the Becca highlighters, so I thought it was time I tried it out. I will admit I was a little iffy because of the price for one single highlighter, but I think it was actually worth the money. Will I buy another single Becca highlighter for the same beccaamount? Probably not. But that doesn’t negate the quality, I just don’t think I need anymore highlighters anytime soon, lol.

I really like the packaging. It is cute but simple and not too crazy. I think that between the packaging and the quality of the product that the price is okay.

I decided to pick up the ‘Pearl’ highlighter. The product itself is really nice. It is super smooth and pigmented. I really like the shine and it can be nice and natural or you can build up without it looking cakey like a lot of highlighters do when built up.

handI will admit, while I really enjoy it a lot, I don’t see the hype. I mean I see the hype, but just not over other highlighters, you know what I mean? It’s nice but it doesn’t seem any better than some of the highlighters I already own. Which sucks, because I feel like I should be praising it with the attention from it, but I don’t have the need. However, I am not bashing it either because there are definitely worse highlighters out there. With that said, if you are willing to spend the money, then I think you should own at least one Becca highlighter.

What did you guys think about the Becca highlighters? Worth the hype or too hyped up?

December Favourites

Hello my beautiful little flowers! 😀

Quick reminder, if you are interested in entering the giveaway, please do so before time is up! Also, I wanted to apologize for not giving you much content these past few weeks, but I have been out of state for vacation. I thought I would stick to what I said, and give you a IMG_2149.JPGDecember Favourites!

All my faves from last month are all skincare related, so here we go:

First off, is the OFRA Drying Lotion. This is for those of you who are like me and get the randomest break outs, for absolutely no reason. Just shake it up and use it as a spot treatment. I usually leave it on overnight and wash my face in the morning. This stuff is seriously a miracle in a bottle. It dries the break out, which can, depending on the size of the break out, clear it up almost completely, or reduce it in size a good bit.  It has been a life saver, especially during my special time of the month, when my body completely hates me *insert eye roll here*.img_2148

Also, something I have been using is the Soap & Glory Peaches and Clean Deep Cleansing Milk. I am actually kind of annoyed with myself, because I forgot to bring this on my trip!

It works for all skin types and it seriously does SO much. It detoxifies, cleanses, removes make up, and moisturizes!

Not to mention this stuff smells like heaven. I actually really love S&G and have been meaning to make a post with my fav S&G things, so maybe I will do that when I get back home!

Next are some more Nip + img_2147Fab items! I believe I had a N+P product in my November Favs, so you may be familiar with the brand. One is the Kale Fix moisturizer and the other is the Kale Fix make up removing pads. The moisturizer is great and I think it would be especially great for dryer skin. You can notice a difference with your face as soon as it hits your skin. It also softens your face, which makes it feel SO smooth. The make up removing pads have the same affect. If you have dry skin, I honestly recommend you try this out.

What are some of your favourite products that you have been trying out?

xx
