lorac ‘i love brunch’ + swatches

img_6445I feel like a blog post on a Sunday is so random, but, yet here I am. I meant to put this up a few days ago, tbh, but that just didn’t happen, so I apologize ūüôā

Honestly, most of my make up posts have been going on Instagram lately, so don’t forget to follow me there to see some of that so you can have more content. Anyway, I have had this Lorac palette for a few months now, and haven’t even put my hands on it, so sad, I know. If you have seen older posts, you know I love the Lorac palettes. Those and the ABH palettes are some of my favorite shadows because they are just so pigmented and smooth.

These shades are so amazing. I love a good pastel palette, which are hard to find, so that makes it 10x better. I enlisted my bestfriend and her child as my arms for swatching, her daughter loves watching me do my make up, so of course she had a blast, lol. Since these are pastels, they did look better on a darker skin tone. Enjoy the swatches and I will see you guys soon :p xo

sunday funday + becca

ytw.jpgIt’s Sunday fun day! Except not really, because I have been sick all week long and all weekend, D: More like Sunday take-medicine-every-four-to-six-hours-day. Has a ring to it, I think. Head colds are the worst.

On a different sick note, does anyone else like the feeling of sneezing, or is that just me? Anyway..

First off, congrats to Ashley Bonniville, who was our Smile Brilliant winner! Thank you to everyone else who participated, it was a great turn out!

Today’s post will just be a quick little something, just so I don’t leave you guys hanging. I do have tons of stuff I bought over the holidays that I can’t wait to share with you.

So, I have heard so much hype for the Becca highlighters, so I thought it was time I tried it out. I will admit I was a little iffy because of the price for one single highlighter, but I think it was actually worth the money. Will I buy another single Becca highlighter for the same beccaamount? Probably not. But that doesn’t negate the quality, I just don’t think I need anymore highlighters anytime soon, lol.

I really like the packaging. It is cute but simple and not too crazy. I think that between the packaging and the quality of the product that the price is okay.

I decided to pick up the ‘Pearl’ highlighter. The product itself is really nice. It is super smooth and pigmented. I really like the shine and it can be nice and natural or you can build up without it looking cakey like a lot of highlighters do when built up.

handI will admit, while I really enjoy it a lot, I don’t see the hype. I mean I see the hype, but just not over other highlighters, you know what I mean? It’s nice but it doesn’t seem any better than some of the highlighters I already own. Which sucks, because I feel like I should be praising it with the attention from it, but I don’t have the need. However, I am not bashing it either because there are definitely worse highlighters out there. With that said, if you are willing to spend the money, then I think you should own at least one Becca highlighter.

What did you guys think about the Becca highlighters? Worth the hype or too hyped up?

December Favourites

Hello my beautiful little flowers! ūüėÄ

Quick reminder, if you are interested in entering the giveaway, please do so before time is up! Also, I wanted to apologize for not giving you much content these past few weeks, but I have been out of state for vacation. I thought I would stick to what I said, and give you a IMG_2149.JPGDecember Favourites!

All my faves from last month are all skincare related, so here we go:

First off, is the OFRA Drying Lotion. This is for those of you who are like me and get the randomest break outs, for absolutely no reason. Just shake it up and use it as a spot treatment. I usually leave it on overnight and wash my face in the morning. This stuff is seriously a miracle in a bottle. It dries the break out, which can, depending on the size of the break out, clear it up almost completely, or reduce it in size a good bit.  It has been a life saver, especially during my special time of the month, when my body completely hates me *insert eye roll here*.img_2148

Also, something I have been using is the Soap & Glory Peaches and Clean Deep Cleansing Milk. I am actually kind of annoyed with myself, because I forgot to bring this on my trip!

It works for all skin types and it seriously does SO much. It detoxifies, cleanses, removes make up, and moisturizes!

Not to mention this stuff smells like heaven. I actually really love S&G and have been meaning to make a post with my fav S&G things, so maybe I will do that when I get back home!

Next are some more Nip + img_2147Fab items! I believe I had a N+P product in my November Favs, so you may be familiar with the brand. One is the Kale Fix moisturizer and the other is the Kale Fix make up removing pads. The moisturizer is great and I think it would be especially great for dryer skin. You can notice a difference with your face as soon as it hits your skin. It also softens your face, which makes it feel SO smooth. The make up removing pads have the same affect. If you have dry skin, I honestly recommend you try this out.

What are some of your favourite products that you have been trying out?

xx

Make Up For Ever: Ultra HD

Hello my little ladybugs! mufelay

I intended to post yesterday, but I have been sick this week. To be honest, I am not feeling that great today either, but I wanted to get some content out for you guys.

Also, I am going to start posting twice a week very soon.

To those of you who have had a hard time finding THE foundation. Make Up For Ever may be a good place to start. Not only do they have liquid foundation, but they also have stick foundation.

mufeswatcgMy favourite thing about Make Up For Ever is that they have such a wide range of shades to choose from.

It kind of makes it hard to not find a match.

The liquid foundation is wonderful. It is super thin in consistency, but will also give you great coverage. Since it is a thin product, it really helps you get a smooth and even finish.

It is one of the more natural looking and more comfortable foundations I have tried. It also works well with SO many different skin types, which is a plus.

The foundation stick is equally amazing. This stick has a thicker consistency, but still blends in nicely and is comfortable. Faceeee.jpg

Darker shades also work really well as a contour stick. Also I know a lot of stick products I have found are harder to blend but this foundation stick is SUPER blendable.

Me, personally, I think these are going to be my go to fall/winter products.

What are your favourite fall/winter foundations/products? Let me know below.

The products in this post were sent to me by Influenster and Make Up For Ever (also thank you so much to them!).

Marc Jacobs Glowstick!

Hello hello hello!IMG_7898

So as I’m sitting here watching Catfish, I realize I need to blog for the week! So here I am bringing you nonsense, again, not really, but probably¬†ūüėõ

Today I wanted to share my Marc Jacobs Glowstick  that was sent to me from @Influenster and @MarcBeauty; be sure to check them both out on Twitter and Instagram to stay updated on fun and new things!

Until this, I usually stuck with¬†powder highlighters because I felt I could control it more. I do have¬†a few liquids but I don’t use them, ever, to be honest, even though they are really nice. BUT this Glowstick is honestly so amazing. Its more of a cream than a liquid, so that’s a plus.¬†This one is¬†in “Spotlight” and I have to say I love it and have been using it a lot this summer. If you like cream highlighters, this is definitely one you should be trying out. Even if you don’t and are like me and like your powders, its a great product to step out of your comfort zone with.

IMG_7904The pigment and shimmer is AMAZING. It doesn’t take much and it goes on so beautifully. I just cant get over it!

I think this product is great for the hot summer I am having. It gives me more comfort because I feel that it stays better. It is just as vivid and pigmented by the time I take it off as when I put it on. Which says a lot because I have a few highlighters that dissipate by the end of the day.

Which do you guys prefer: liquids/cream or powdered highlighter? What is your favourite highlighter right now?

Don’t forget to follow me on social media! A lot of the times I post swatches that don’t end up on the blog. Twitter and IG links below.

Lush Favourites

Hello my little croissants, I hope you all are well!

Before I jump into this post, I want to remind you to keep eye, as by the end of this week I will be announcing the Colourpop giveway winner!

Now, if you haven’t tried anything from Lush, you really should. Lush is a company who makes a lot of organic and cruelty free products. I feel like you could try anything and love it. With that said, I wanted to share with you guys my absolute favourite Lush products. I usually like everything I try but these have been the things that I ALWAYS go back for.¬†lush1

Toothy tabs:

I have tried the Dirty Toothy Tabs, ¬†but I LOVE Chou Chou…I Love You. Basically these are little tablets that you crunch up and brush your teeth with. The Chou Chou tablets literally leave your breathe smelling like you just ate some flowers.

Dark Angel:

My FAVOURITE facial cleanser. Not just for Lush, but my overall favourite. It’s a charcoal and black sugar and is great for oily skin and blemishes. The black sugar also makes is a great exfoliator. A definite must try from me if you haven’t. Also, it smells like black licorice!

Mask of Magnamity:

Such a great facial mask, really helps to cleanse the pores and helps with exfoliation. I typically use it once a week and it really does wonders. It smells amazing too.

lush2Lip Scrub:

They’re are so many lip scrubs that are great but my go to is the Mint Julip. It smells like mint (duh) and you can lick the rest off and it tastes so yummy. Keep in mind that using lip scrub regularly is great for your lips and also makes for a great lipstick application!

Tea Tree Water:

I LIVE by this stuff. I use it every single day, as you can probably tell as the label is faded. It does wonders for your skin, honestly. It helps to balance skin tone and clear up excess oils. I have a normal to oily skin type so it really helps. It also helps with redness.

What are some of your favourite Lush products and must haves?

Lorac Unzipped

Aloha lovelies! IMG_7372 (1)

I want to start off with saying thank you guys for your participation in the giveaway, it is going so well. Don’t forget that it does last until the end of the month, so let your friends know so they can get entered for a chance to win.

So recently I bought the Lorac Unzipped palette. After struggling with the decision of whether I would rather have that or the Gold palette. Let me start by saying this palette is amazing. I really like the shades and the pigment is one of the best I have seen. Especially for the shimmer shades. It has quickly become my go-to day to day palette because I love how it really brings out my eye colour.

IMG_7362 (1).JPGTo be honest, I haven’t really done any extravagant looks with it, I just really like the basic looks I can create from it. This palette also blends a lot better than some others. If you haven’t already, I would definitely recommend adding it to your collection.
