Top 5 Beauty Hacks

So, over the years I have learned new things to try out – whether it been from just messing around or from someone giving me suggestions and falling in love with them (the suggestions, not the person, because awkwarddd). So far, these are some of the most helpful beauty hacks I have come across.

Peppermint oil! I remember reading an article, maybe a year back, and they suggested adding peppermint oil to lip glosses. It was amazing, it really helps plump the lips. Plus, peppermint, who doesn’t love the smell of peppermint.

White eyeliner, which is my holy grail. I use it daily. Putting white eyeliner on your lower lid really helps to make your eyes stand out, especially after a night of no sleep. White eyeliner is also a good primer, to help your bright colours stand out.

Too dark foundations, we’ve all been there. Mixing a bit of moisturizer to a foundation that ended up being too dark can help to lighten it.

Longer lashes, minus the fakes. I actually learned this in cosmetology school. Using a cotton swab to put a bit of baby powder on your lashes help to give you that longer, thicker look. Mascara, powder, mascara, then voila!

Softer feet overnight. Especially during winter this is a great hack for softer feet. Put some Vaseline on your feet plus fluffy socks, and go to sleep. When you wake up your feet feel amazing and you did virtually no work!

Give these hacks a try, I promise you won’t be disappointed!

Do you have any beauty hacks of your own?

Also, this was a guest post I posted on another blog a while back. Just using it as a filler until the next Q&A comes out, so if you haven’t already seen it, enjoy 🙂

  1. One of the uses I absolutely love for peppermint oil is a massage, I feel incredible. I’m gonna try the vaseline hack, thank you! I almost never wear make up, but I do have a couple of things that make my skin softer: sauna & steam room and regular scrubs.

  2. White eyeliner is my go to beauty hack too, works wonders esp for tired eyes like you said 🙂

Also similar to the vaseline & socks trick, if you put vicks on your feet (when you have a cold or a flu) and some socks on before bed, when you wake up your sinuses will be loads better!!
